SUGAR GROVE, Ill. (WLS) -- A 35-year-old Oswego man died Monday afternoon, after a pickup truck hit him in west suburban Sugar Grove, police said.
The man was a passenger in a vehicle heading west on Route 56 from Interstate 88 just after 1 p.m., police said, but he was distressed and jumped from the moving car.
The driver of that car stopped, and tried to keep him on the shoulder of the road, but he ran into traffic, and a 2012 Ford pickup truck pulling a trailer, driven by a 27-year-old from Warrenville, hit him, police said.
When police arrived, the Oswego man was lying in the middle of the roadway.
