Stephanie Wade
Stephanie Wade is a 12-time Emmy-nominated reporter for ABC 7 Chicago. She joined Chicago's top news station in December 2021.

Wade currently works as a morning reporter and fill-in traffic anchor on ABC 7's Morning Show.

Since being at ABC 7, she's covered major court cases, including former Ald. Ed Burke, singer R. Kelly and actor Jussie Smollett - to name a few. Her passion is covering local government and breaking news.

Before Chicago, Wade worked in Indianapolis for five years as an investigative reporter. State leaders credited her series of reports on high infant and maternal mortality rates with helping change legislation in Indiana. Before that, she worked in her hometown of Toledo, Ohio. (Go Bucks!)

Wade is a graduate of DePaul University, where she currently holds a position on the Young Professionals Advisory Board for the College of Communication. She was also named their 2016 Journalism Outstanding Achievement & Leadership Award recipient.

Wade volunteers as a "Big Sister" with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Chicago. When she's not working, she loves to try different exercise classes around town, get outdoors for a hike, and explore the ever-growing restaurant scene in Chicago.

A big "foodie," Wade is always looking for new restaurant suggestions in the Windy City!
